Heritage Day

October 17

Our biggest day of the year!

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

This year’s Heritage Day

Heritage Day is part celebration, part fundraiser, and entirely about this place we call home. It’s a chance to reconnect with neighbors, dig into local history, and support the Society’s work — including the long road back to a permanent home. Whether you come to compete, to give, or just to enjoy the day, there’s a spot for you.

Here’s everything happening this year. Save the date, share it with a friend, and we’ll see you there.

Heritage Day Photography Contest

Grab your camera and show us your corner of Dauphin and Middle Paxton. Our photography contest is back, open to amateur photographers, with prize money and ribbons awarded for first through third place in every category. The goal is simple: capture what makes this area unique.

Photos must be taken in Dauphin Borough or Middle Paxton Township, printed 8×10 on photo paper, one submission per category, minimal editing and no AI. There’s a $1 entry fee per photo, and an entry form goes on the back of each one. This year’s deadline is October 14.
